In the Adelaide Crows history to date, Mark Ricciuto sits as one of their greatest players. His achievements, after debuting as a 17-year old in 1993, see him recognised as an AFL great.
His robust style, long kicking and prolific ball getting were a feature in Adelaide's regular finals appearance through the late 90s and early 2000s.
Ricciuto announced his arrival in 1994, when he finished third in Adelaide's best and fairest and earned the first of eight All-Australian berths.
A similar season in 1997 was ruined when leg injuries forced him to miss the Crows' finals campaign and historic first premiership. Ricciuto showed his champion qualities to return in 1998, win his first best and fairest and play in the club's premiership triumph.
An on-field leader for much of his career, Ricciuto was appointed captain in 2001.
He responded by winning a second best and fairest, and becoming Adelaide's first Brownlow medallist, tying with Adam Goodes and ESP's Nathan Buckley. Ricciuto's brilliance continued in 2004 with second place in the Brownlow, captaincy of the All-Australian side and a third Crows best and fairest.

Ricciuto balanced his on-field supremacy with media work for Channel Seven and Austereo, and he will continue this now in retirement. His appeal with fans has seen him represent brands such as CUB and Russell Athletic during his distinguished career.
Returning in round 12 Nathan had an immediate impact, kicking 3 goals in the Tigers win against Melbourne. He had a consistent year playing mainly up forward and hoping to regain some further form for the 2008 season.
